Alicia McFadzean Posca Photography

I grew up drawing and painting in a small town in the Southern Highlands area of NSW, after which I moved to Sydney to study at the UTS where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Communications (Media Arts Production) in 2011.

After I graduated, I found myself working in digital advertising, first as a producer, then later as content strategist and designer. Here I gained a thorough understanding digital tech and the psychology behind marketing. More pertinently, it also led to the self realisation that my imagination, and my drive to create with my hands was a much stronger calling.

Since then, I’ve been working non-stop to hone a creative style and produce artworks, both personal and commercial, that are reflective of my passion to understand more about the human condition, and advocate the betterment of how we treat each other and the earth in which we live. A thirst for to experience culture and life from a vastly different perspective prompted me to move to South Africa in 2016.

Since I began my artistic journey I’ve sought to master various different mediums – from the fine nib pen, to the brush and the aerosol can. I think the street itself is the best kind of gallery. It’s my absolute pleasure embrace all the challenges that often come with height, machinery and inclement weather to paint artworks on a large scale.
